The United Arab Emirates (UAE), a nation renowned for its innovation and grand projects, has
evolved remarkably since its founding in 1971. Comprising seven emirates—Abu Dhabi, Dubai,
Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al-Quwain, Ras Al-Khaimah, and Fujairah—the UAE sits at the
crossroads of Europe, Asia, and Africa, connecting 136 nations and 3.2 billion people across
three continents.
The UAE Financial Market Association (UAE FMA) was established in December 2011 under
the decree of the Ministry of Social Affairs. It serves as the leading organization for financial
market professionals in the UAE, boasting over 200 members. Affiliated with ACI– The
Financial Markets Association, the largest international association in wholesale financial
markets, UAE FMA benefits from a global network of over 9,000 professionals in more than 60
countries. Our mission is to enhance the financial industry's standards through continuous
education, social awareness, and fostering communication among members and other industry
bodies.

To govern, administer, develop, and integrate financial markets in the United Arab Emirates.
AIMS
The UAE Financial Market Association collaborates with various financial institutions both regionally and globally. We are dedicated to supporting and enhancing transparent communication within the financial markets community in the UAE.
Governance and Leadership: Provide governance and effective leadership for all financial market activities within the UAE.
Efficient Administration: Conduct an efficient and successful administrative and financial model.
Professional Standards: Adopt professional standards and protocols to ensure the continuity of UAE FMA events and training programs.
Educational Development: Run educational and development activities for junior members to improve financial market participation standards in the UAE.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The UAE FMABoard of Directors, comprising eight prominent members from the local business community with extensive experience in Treasury, meets monthly. Their mandate includes overseeing the overall strategy and management of the Financial Market Association, financial reporting, controls, and approval of the Annual Report.

Executive Committees
The UAE FMA Executive Committee, appointed by the UAE FMA Board of Directors, consists of dedicated volunteers who are members of the UAE FMA. These committees operate under various sections of the Association’s organizational structure, providing essential support between board meetings. Each committee focuses on a specific area, including Accounting & Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, Legal, Marketing & Public Relations, and Partnership & Foundation Relations. They perform vital tasks to ensure the smooth functioning and continuous growth of the Association.
